Magpies Academy kicks off TOMORROW. Our AFL skills boot camp will be run over 4 weeks throughout February. Magpies Academy is for all ages and experience and open to players from all clubs! For those new to the game, it provides a great opportunity to come and try AFL in a fun and supportive environment. Experienced players will benefit from skills development and fitness in the lead up to the 2024 season. Sign up via the link below and invite your friends!

Register for the 2024 Season and the new U9 Youth Girls Competition

Know any girls 7-9 who want to try something new and fun? In exciting news, the AFL is launching a new U9 Youth Girls Competition, and we are looking for future AFLW stars aged 7-9 to form a team.

We have also extended our early bird discounts to 29 February, so don’t forget to jump online to register and take advantage of significant savings for a whole season of footy!

Junior/Youth: U9 to U17 teams

Aged 9 to 17 Boys & Girls (based on age at 31/12/2024)

$240 ($200 with the early bird discount)

U9 Youth Girls – an extra $50 for girls aged 7-9
$240 ($150 with the early bird discount + additional $50 off)

Registrations before 29 February not only have the early bird discount of $40 by using code 85191681, but there is also an ADDITIONAL $50 off applied at checkout. That's a whole season of AFL for $150.

Auskick: U5 to U8 teams

Aged 5 to 8 (based on age at 31/12/2024).

$162.50 + FREE AFL Auskick pack

AFL Auskickers get money-can’t-buy benefits including a unique pack of exclusive footy goodies, an Auskick Junior Club Membership for the AFL club of their choice (including access to games!), and the chance to play half-time at AFL and AFLW games alongside their footy heroes.

Coaches, Managers and Committee Members Discount

Coaches, managers and committee members are entitled to a $100 discount voucher, please email for the code prior to registering. We are still looking to fill key positions in the 2024 Committee as soon as possible including First Aid Coordinator, Fundraising Coordinator and Auskick Coordinator - let us know if you can help out!

Wests is an inclusive and equitable club. We consider reductions or waving fees for kids who without financial assistance would not be able to participate. Please contact Club President, Luke Beynon to discuss further.

Changes to Active Kids Vouchers

You may be aware of some changes to Active Kids Vouchers. The new Active and Creative Kids Voucher (‘ACKV’) has a revised means tested eligibility criteria and is only available to families who currently receive Family Tax Benefits.

The new system requires the club to reapply to an ACKV Provider and at the moment PlayHQ is not currently set up for automatic redemption, both of which are in progress and will take time. To minimise impact on participants AFL NSW/ACT will accept all ACKV’s on behalf of club’s centrally from 1st February.

How will this work?

The registering family will be required to contact ClubHelp who will provide them with a discount code connected to your club to use upon registration. Participants can contact ClubHelp on clubhelp@afl.com.auor call 1800 PLAY AFL between 9:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.
