Summer Squad is a first-class AFL development and education program designed to transform your belief into performance. Facilitated by the Inner West Magpies Junior Club and NSW AFL Development Coach Gareth Newman, this program is your chance to gain an edge before the new AFL season.

Gareth Newman is a highly successful AFL NSW Premier League and Swans Academy Development Coach. Gareth brings invaluable expertise to the program, with an impressive record that includes leading teams to five premierships, including the U15 Division 1 title.

What to Expect

This 8-week multi-level coaching experience is open to athletes aged 9 to 17 years and covers all facets of AFL. Our focus is on improving skills and maximizing enjoyment.

Tailored Coaching: Kids will be divided into small groups based on age and skill level. Each weekly session, lasting 1 to 1.5 hours, is structured with both group and specialized coaching to provide personalized attention.

Actionable Feedback: Every child will receive a written coach report with actionable feedback to guide their individual development long after the program ends.

Program Details

When: Commencing Sunday, October 19th, until December 7th.
Session times will be allocated closer to the start date.

Where: Sessions will be held at W.H. Wagener Oval, Ashbury.

Cost: $189 for the entire 8-week program.
