Honouring the Anzac Spirit at the Nest
The silence at WH Wagener Oval is different on Anzac Day. It’s a silence that carries the weight of history, echoing across the turf before the first whistle blows. This past Friday, April 25th, our club family gathered at home for Round 4—the Anzac Spirit Round—to do more than just play footy. We gathered to remember.
The Next Generation Leads the Way
Auskickers. Watching the "little legends" fly around Picken Oval is always a highlight, but there’s something special about seeing them compete on a day of such national significance. They represent the future—the very thing the Anzacs fought to protect. Their energy, laughter, and budding skills reminded us all why community sport is the heartbeat of Croydon Park.
A Moment of Remembrance
As the Last Post drifted across the ground, players from all grades stood shoulder-to-shoulder. It was a moving tribute to the men and women who served, including the many footballers from Sydney who traded their club colours for service uniforms throughout history.
